Gail & Rice is ISO 9001:2000 Certified

Our ISO 9001:2000 certification inspires us to not only constantly improve upon the service we offer our customers, but to provide insight into areas where we might help our clients improve their own operations.

Some of the things a company like ours does to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification are:

1. Have an established policy on quality, and a quality procedure manual.

2. Have an officer designated for ensuring and maintaining quality standards

3. Have regular reviews of quality. Audits to be done both in house and by an external independent body

4. Have policies on various other issues including and not limited to staff training and development etc.

5. Maintain a list of approved suppliers

6. Have all written procedures stated simply, unambiguously and understandably

7. Have a system in place for monitoring customer satisfaction

ISO 9001:2000 - in brief

This is the requirement standard used to assess our ability to meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements. The ISO 9000 family is among ISO's most widely known standards ever. ISO 9000 standards are implemented by some 610 000 organizations in 160 countries . ISO 9000 has become an international reference for quality management requirements in business-to-business dealings.

The ISO 9000 family is primarily concerned with "quality management". This means what the organization does to fulfil:
- the customer's quality requirements, and
- applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to
- enhance customer satisfaction, and
- achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives.
