Saturn’s new RELAY joins the
Race
Saturn partners with Gail & Rice to launch the 2005
RELAY
October 25, 2004 - Southfield, Michigan - General Motors’ Saturn
Unit has turned to Southfield-based Gail & Rice, Inc.
to create and produce the sales channel training programs
for the launch of Saturn’s 2005 RELAY.
The Relay represents a new phase in the life of Saturn and
its product line. In addition to being the company’s
first 7-passenger vehicle, the Relay also represents several
other ‘firsts’ for Saturn. The Relay represents
the first time the company has launched a vehicle that doesn’t
utilize Saturn’s traditional polymer body panels. In
addition, this is the first time Saturn has utilized a common
platform and manufacturing facility with other GM vehicles.
Finally, the Relay represents Saturn’s first vehicle
to venture beyond an average 30K price tag.
Gail & Rice was chosen to develop and implement a 440
dealership interactive training program focusing on retail
and wholesales managers and consultants throughout the U.S.
The program, which features video, web-based, dynamic and
live, comparison-based modules, will take place over the
six-month period leading up to the launch of the RELAY vehicle.
