I’ll never forget opening night when we took to the stage, I stood with the lead as he began to sing … and the amount of spit that hit my face was REMARKABLE. I had to hold it together without a flinch, but mentally I was like OMG, where is a Kleenex when you need one? I just watched as they sung with such power and purpose. This was their livelihood. It was personal, profound, and (quite literally) in-your-face – exactly the way a live experience should be.
Here is a photo of me back stage at the DSO with lead singer Randal Turner as Don Giovanni.
